Aesthetic Seasons is a recreation of the work of the great Sanskrit poet Kalidas written in Sanskrit. ‘Ritu-Samharam’. It is a poem in six parts for each season, meaning by winning over the seasons. He wrote observing the changes in the Nature, and behaviour of the people, animals, birds very closely in all the seasons, and expressed beautifully in Sanskrit verses. Unike his other works there is very little mention of names of rivers, mountains, and towns in this poem. It seems to be his first work, when he would have been in his adolescence, as his most of the verses are addressed to the women folks, enjoying the beauty of Nature, in different seasons adorning with new raiment, flowers and jewels while aspiring for love.

In ‘Aesthetic Seasons’ I wrote these shlokas in English verses, trying to draw attention towards the growing beauty of the Nature, blooming colours of the flowers, petals creepers vines, as well the rivers mountains, valleys. I titled it ‘Ritu Shringar’, ‘Aesthetic Seasons’. I took some liberty going beyond the exact words, while rhyming the verses. Hope the readers will love it.
